We'll frolic and play the eskimo way

So I only planned on putting one awkward snow selfie of me on here, but I couldn't pick, so bear with me. I know I'm vain. It's fine. My dress is red ok? What would you do?

Today it snowed, and snowed, and snowed. You can see in those pictures that it reaches halfway up my leg! It made me want to sing white Christmas, and make snow angels, and walk around a lovely frozen pond, but instead I got to shovel half the driveway (the other half was too snowy for us to get to today) and laugh because our car just so happened to break down the one day we decide to drive to Idaho. It's all good folks, because what's Christmas without a few mishaps?

Besides that Christmas has been pretty uneventful this year. We got up and waited for the heater to turn on, and off and on again, opened up the presents under the tree, and headed to my Grandmas house for lunch. Then we headed to Idaho to spend time with the most wonderful family that I know.

Anyway, merry Christmas to all the readers I pretend are seeing this, and to all a good night!

Lately

Well here's the truth. lately I'm not on the top of the world. But that's life and sometimes you have down days. Sometimes you try and go through a car wash and then wined up with seven dollars in quarters, but not a washed car. Sometimes you ask someone to a dance without thinking about the fact that you really don't want to go, and sometimes your math teacher reads your (very embarrassing) response to the dance in front of the whole class. Sometimes you FaceTime your sister just so you're not alone, and sometimes you try to recreate a very sassy picture, but it comes out kind of blue and melancholy. I guess the camera doesn't lie. But it's times like these, times when you're failing a few classes and you accidentally cut yourself trying to carve a tree and the clouds are constantly making everything look kind of bleach, that you turn to The Lord and He carries you completely. And you come out of times like these realizing you don't ever, ever want to stop holding tight to the Savior. Even when times are good again. You never want to let him go.

Farewell my dear heart

Not over. Just different.
