the definition of awkward.

Prepare yourself kids. There are no pictures in this post.
Here's a challange; Define Awkward in 2 words.
My definition: this weekend.
Lets just say there was a lot of ping pong
and snowball fights
and sean the sheep.
and apples to apples.
with just a little bit of power puff girls thrown in there.

Also, today my goal was to be out of bed at 8:00 am
lets just say I didn't quite reach it.
9:30 is cool too.

No shave November is my best friend.
So are tights
(I'm going to let you put those two together)
My mom may or may not have been a little disappointed
when our "special state conference" wasn't because Elder Bednar was coming.
The North Field stake got him.
Brother Keech is pretty cool though.

Apparently I have inherited my fathers phobia of dirty, slimy water.
Pretty much slimy things give me the creeps.
I have to wash things off in the sink with a spatula.
It's fine.

I'm torn between having a social life and wanting to stay at home in sweat pants all day.
Lucky me, with my friends, I can do both.
But it is still a little weird to leave your friend on the couch with your laptop
while you are in the shower.

winter wonderland

The weather shares my holiday spirit.
have I mentioned lately how much I love snow?
I love snow days when I dump snow from my umbrella down my friends backs.
And when I get a better score on my English paper then I expected.
And I get an extra cookie at lunch.
And my neighbors head off to shovel people's walks.
I love it all.
Heres to winter.

I understood that reference.

Somedays the election gets me all riled up and I just can't help myself
I make posters for Captain America.
We appreciate your vote.

Questions Via Carrie:
Would you prefer to only have fruits or veggies for the rest of your life?
No question! fruit for sure. This sweet tooth can't be handled.
Favorite store to shop at?
Online or in person? Lets see, Ruche for online, and Etsy. For real stores I like Forever 21, Target, and Hobby Lobby.
No shave november. what are your feelings on this?
I am a fan. I feel free not to shave my legs in support of this (well maybe not just to support it) Also if you click around on my blog you may just find a link to the Movember website. Feel free to make a donation.
DC comics or Marvel?
Marvel. It's complicated. Actually, it's really not, Marvel is better.
Favorite feature?
Do I really have to choose? I'm Joking! I guess probably my hair. I am a ginger and I like it.
Who is your idol? and why?
I never really thought about that. I guess my classy grandmas. I always wanted to be a classy lady.
What are you thankful for? What am I NOT thankful for? I don't think I can even comprehend how lucky I am. I am especially thankful for the gospel and my family.
Pet peeve?
Bubble-poppers, Broken filters, Ditchers
Favorite thing about the holidays?
EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING!
Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?
I honestly can't remember. I am not a huge fan of phones. (Or people) Joking, I have to say my calling tree. I had fun informing them what we are doing for young womans. Even if nobody believed me when I told them they needed to bring a rake.
Snow or rain? why?
Depends on the season. Most of the time rain but for a few weeks in the beginning of winter it's snow.

I'm not following the rest of the rules.

a post for the patriotic people.

Ok, say what you will. I already can see some people stop reading because they think this post will be boring, or they think that this is one of those blogs where the writer shoves their political views down the readers throats. But let me tell you now, I am a fourteen year old girl. My political view are that politics don't make a lot of sense. I am just here to write a post about the patriotic things we did today. Feel free to stop reading now if that upsets you.
Well, because my school hosts the voters walking around was pretty interesting today. Especially when my Seminary teacher told me to watch out for voting grandpas. Lets just say, a few drivers nearly ran me over on the way back to school a few times. Next up came Choir where we practiced the national anthem a few times, also, we said the pledge of allegiance to a guys shirt because the choir room doesn't have a flag of it's own. Then I went over to the library and voted for a book just so I could get a pin and where it around all day. Once in World Geography my teacher decided it was a good idea to educate us on what form of government our country uses seeing as the past few days we learned about the different forms of government. On the way out she told us that she hoped we could one day say to someone who asks us what government we are, what kind we are. I won't spell it out for you because it is a little complicated, lets just say that our founding fathers knew what they were doing when they put pieces of all the different governments into our system. The only problem? it makes it hard to pin down a specific word to use to describe us. Currently my mom is online watching to see how many electoral and popular votes each candidate has. Every now and then she will shout out a score like a football loving Grandfather during the super bowl. Tomorrow I plan on wearing my heart of America pin.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I know that this is tons more words than I have written in a long time, and way more than I have ever made the effort to read on a blog, I am sorry. I just wanted to mention to you that I love this country. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Thank you to the men and woman who give their lives so that I can be free.
The End.

say hello

Happy Movember via my lovely parents.

Posts are pointless without pictures.

So how about this one:

This year is a game changer.
Lets review 1st term:
Not trying to brag or anything, but
my highest score was an 102
it was in biology.
Biology is not my strong suit.
I've never worked so hard in one class.
Have you ever tried working hard?
It's a pretty cool thing.
Miss Parson was why I decided to like school again.
Well, at least to stop complaining about it.
I was pretty defenseless against her Oprah videos.
Have you ever tried being grateful?
It's a pretty cool thing.
Mrs. Lund was the reason I decided that doing my best
Is better than being the best.
English Honors was a good idea.
Have you ever tried doing your best?
It's a pretty cool thing.
One last thing.
I'm not perfect.
I can't talk to boys,
I get jealous,
I can't really sing
or dance.
and I don't play the piano in seminary.
But I decided something.
I've got time.
I will grow as fast as I want to.
And it will be great.
Have you ever tried being great?
It's a pretty cool thing.

it's a holiday or something.

Happy Halloween kids.
or should I say
Happy go get candy from strangers day.
Seriously, am I the only one who thinks that it is ironic
that every other day of the year
children are advised to "not take candy from strangers"
but on Halloween, there parents make them do it.
Just saying. Whoever made this holiday clearly didn't know the meaning of
Stranger Danger.

sneak a peek.

Well ladies and gents, Me and Hannah had ourselves a fall leaves party.
(AKA we spent more time making the pile than jumping in it)
But since my computer is a dunce head
and somehow manages to make all my pictures that were so carefully edited into one picture
(and not even my favorite one)
I only have  3 pictures of our fun fall festivities when I should have 10.
So enjoy one for now and keep waiting for me to
stop banging my head on the wall long enough to edit the rest.
Cheers!

If you're not a fan of attractive men, you probably shouldn't read this post.

Well kids, it's that time of the month. PMS is a lovely thing isn't it? When I start feeling it, I just look up pictures of attractive men. It usually works quite nicely, also cake works. What things do you do when you want to hide under your bed with a heating pad and cry?
