15 though

I bet you're getting sick of birthday posts, but too bad. 

This girl is Hannah Jones and she officially wins at being the greatest. 

No one else can I turn to when I have to get something off my chest.

I can talk to her about anything, we will be grandma's on a porch knitting one day.

Wasting away on a beautiful day

All I have to show for this day is 4 watched Harry Potter movies, 

3 empty bowls of candy,

4 homemade lemonade popsicles,

and an embroidered t-shirt. 

They say "time you enjoyed wasting was not wasted"

I believe that's true.

Quick story about my mom:


Once upon a time there was a mom whose favorite child was her youngest daughter, Janna. Janna loved her mom very much and wanted her to know how grateful she was for her. Janna supposed that the whole world felt the same way because on May 12th there was a holiday created called Mother's Day. On Mother's all the kids tried to show their mom's some small portion of their gratitude for everything their mothers had given them. To celebrate mothers, Janna's ward sometimes passed out flowers, or letters, or big honking symphony bars. Janna's mom was such a great, selfless lady that when it was a big honking symphony bar that the ward gave, she gave it to Janna. Janna marveled at how someone could be so selfless that she even gave away the gift we tried to give her for giving to us.

My favorite missionaries

Yep, that baby is my mom and that couple is my grandparents. 

They are 4 days away from going off on their second mission as a couple. 

They will be serving in Quezone City, Philippines. 

I'm so excited for them. 

I realize that yesterday marks 6 days since I've posted. 

I feel like a bad blogger. 

I wish I could tell you about some super cool thing I've done to make up for it. 

But the problem is I really haven't done anything different. 

Just regular days filled with 

Sleeping in until 3

Setting the toaster on fire

Watching Dave Ramsey videos

Singing at the hockey games

Pulling the DNA out of peas

Taking pictures of Mountains

Also, my birthday is on Monday 

I keep forgetting.

Being sick means mountains of homework. 

Don't you love those gems for teachers who give you a worksheet and then no way to fill it out? Probably will get mad at me for copying off of my neighbor but she had it coming. 

My math teacher rocks. Organization is her best quality and it is very helpful for those of us who haven't been to school for a week. Making good use of staples is why she is the coolest. 

Shakespeare is great and all that but aint nobody understanding what the heck he is talking about. I thought Much Ado about Nothing was bad but that was before I tried to fill out a worksheet on Romeo and Juliet. 

Making models of DNA is fun. I guess I brought this on myself, but the wire backbone was honestly  not a  good idea. I was always bad with wire and I scraped up my hands more than I would like to admit. I just feel bad I never used those mini marshmallows mom bought. 

Essays essays are no fun. Therefore I procrastinate them worse than anything else. AKA it was due almost a week ago but seeing as I was gone I still haven't done it. I should really write a book about procrastinating. eh, I'll do it tomorrow. 

Two boxes of tissues and a messy bun later and I think that maybe I will be ready to go back to school on Monday. But until then I plan on spending my time eating pineapple popsicles with lame jokes on the sticks and reading. Cheers.  

The finer things in life.

Life lately is very, very confusing

When your life gets like this 

you tend to start feeling grateful for the finer things in life.

For example

"dropping" notes with songs you've written inside. 

they go like this:

"Jingle Bells, cleavage fails, sports bra's all the way"

Wearing your running clothes to sit on your butt.

Daydreaming about what it would be like to meet J.K Rowling. 

It would be awesome, by the way.

Feeling like an artist because you bought a fifty pack of markers. 

Drawing with them every night because it makes you awesome.

Making resolutions to laugh at yourself

Making resolutions to not make too many resolutions.

The things about winter

Pro: The fact that they have no traction means you go skating every time you walk outside
