The pros and cons of Neverland, and the truth about leaving it

Ok, here's the scoop: I turn 18 in one month exactly. That's 31 days from now. One month is not very long, especially when it's your last month as a child. Truth is: I'm very, very nervous. It seems to me that being an adult is something I never was going to do! The other day my mom said, "it's ok, she's basically an adult, she can hang out with us." Basically and adult? Time is trying to kidnap me from neverland! I don't want to grow up! I wand to be 7 forever! And play pretend, and use the foot of my bed as a horse or a motorcycle or whatever I want. I want to steal the tablecloth and some paper clips and make myself a princess dress and crown! I want to give my barbies makeovers, and make blanket forts, an not worry about college, or living on my own, or making the wrong decisions and putting myself on completely the wrong course forever! Ok, drama time over. I've had enough of that today. I can't lie though, and say I'm not also a little excited about turning 18. Adults can do a lot of things I can't that I wish I could, the most wonderful one being going through the temple, something I would gladly drop everything and do right now if I could. I'm pretty excited about going on my mission, and going to college, and becoming a wife and mother and who I was put on earth to be. I guess the point of this post, and the reason I wrote 500 more words than I would normally even read on a blog, is to say this: I'm nervous, and excited, and anxious, and hopeful  about the future and what is to come. And that's really all I can say about it.

Lets pretend that never happened.

Sorry that I just kind of dropped off the planet. Lets pretened that never happened.
Now that I'm back, from outer space, lets get down to business.

I promise to try and be a better blogger, even when I think nobody is reading this.
I promise to write dumb things that is of no importance because that is what real life is.
I promise to post pictures as often as I can even if it's not a good picture.
Now please let me make good on my promises and start telling you dumb things that, in all honesty, are my life:

For your enjoyment here are some random insults that I take pride in coming up with while around people that drive me crazy:
"It's boys like you that make me understand why some girls choose to be nuns."
"I can think of 100 fictional characters that are more real than you."
"I'd rather kiss a dementor than you. Just so you know."

I like posts with no real purpose or structure so how about I catch you up on my life lately:

The week after Christmas: I realized that I'm an introvert because books and movies are more interesting than some of my friends. I also became addicted to a TV show called "Sherlock" and I am currently counting down the days until the new season comes out.

The week after the week after Christmas: I went to the lamest New Years Eve dance ever, then I stayed up until 4:00 in the morning watching Here Comes the Boom and talking about chicken wings with the coolest people in the entire world. I ate a cupcake, saw The Book Theif, and took some pictures which was awesome. Here's one of them, the rest are here

The week after the week after the week after Christmas (last week):
My cat judged me hard for watching the bachelor with my brother and yelling things like "I love you Juan Paublo!" I made a playlist with songs about being in a good mood and am currently listening to it like a boss. I said "whatever" way too many times, and was far too weary of people to try to make a conversation.

Well now, I guess that gets you all caught up with what I've been doing lately. Also, an award goes to whoever can name how many times I quoted song lyrics in this post.

We dance in the rain in outfits right out of the seventies. We listen to Billy Joel and Imagine Dragons and let our hair be natural. We stare at the clouds and see dinosaurs and hearts. We eat popsicles and watch the Lorax.

We go hiking and walk up the river. We jump into the waterfall, we run from the bees. We jump into the lake with our clothes on. We float on tubes and chase after baby ducks. We go to get curtsey cones and can't come back because you insult the chef.

We ride to the store and buy Gelato. We bribe my sister to take us to the movies. We sneak spoons past the employees and eat our icecream right there in the movie.

We ride our bikes to the PG pool. We see old friends and people we didn't want to see. We race down the slides and you beat me every time. We yell at idiots and spy from the hot tub. We buy water bottles and ignore the drinking fountain. We got lost on the way up but back is fast.

We go to your house and steal your otterpops. We eat homemade popcorn and talk about babies. We drive home and take the long way. We talk about life and fears and all the things we don't understand. I get sleepy and wish I knew the right words to say. You tell me it doesn't matter. You just wanted to talk.

I find it hard to post in the summer. Each day something happens to blog about but in the summer I stop caring about showing the world that I lived. I start caring a little more about the actual living.

Big symphony bars

Quick story about my mom:

Once upon a time there was a mom whose favorite child was her youngest daughter, Janna. Janna loved her mom very much and wanted her to know how grateful she was for her. Janna supposed that the whole world felt the same way because on May 12th there was a holiday created called Mother's Day. On Mother's all the kids tried to show their mom's some small portion of their gratitude for everything their mothers had given them. To celebrate mothers, Janna's ward sometimes passed out flowers, or letters, or big honking symphony bars. Janna's mom was such a great, selfless lady that when it was a big honking symphony bar that the ward gave, she gave it to Janna. Janna marveled at how someone could be so selfless that she even gave away the gift we tried to give her for giving to us.

Happy Mother's day.

happy hair

Being sick means mountains of homework.
Don't you love those gems for teachers who give you a worksheet and then no way to fill it out? Probably will get mad at me for copying off of my neighbor but she had it coming.

My math teacher rocks. Organization is her best quality and it is very helpful for those of us who haven't been to school for a week. Making good use of staples is why she is the coolest.

Shakespeare is great and all that but aint nobody understanding what the heck he is talking about. I thought Much Ado about Nothing was bad but that was before I tried to fill out a worksheet on Romeo and Juliet.

Making models of DNA is fun. I guess I brought this on myself, but the wire backbone was honestly  not a  good idea. I was always bad with wire and I scraped up my hands more than I would like to admit. I just feel bad I never used those mini marshmallows mom bought.

Essays essays are no fun. Therefore I procrastinate them worse than anything else. AKA it was due almost a week ago but seeing as I was gone I still haven't done it. I should really write a book about procrastinating. eh, I'll do it tomorrow.

Two boxes of tissues and a messy bun later and I think that maybe I will be ready to go back to school on Monday. But until then I plan on spending my time eating pineapple popsicles with lame jokes on the sticks and reading. Cheers.

Some call it death but I just call it boredom

Being sick is not a fun thing.
Some people think that since you get to stay home and watch movies all day it's pretty cool.
But once you've watched six movies without doing anything else it gets a little old.
Well, I guess I should only count five. I had a nice little Niquil nap during The Jedi Returns.

I realize that this picture is really pointless, but I like it a whole lot and I don't have any other pictures to use on this post. I would take a picture of my sick self but I look like a train wreck and I won't put you through that. It started out with step throat and then all of the sudden a cold added itself to the mix. As you can imagine, sneezing is a pleasure.

Now I live on Amoxicillan and icecream. All I really want is some waffles and a chapstick. You would be surprised as to how chappy your lips get when you are breathing only out of your mouth. I look outside and I want to cry, coming back to the inversion was not fun after being able to swim and play tennis for 3 days in St. George.

I dread the homework that is staking up against me. One day I tried to do some of it and then decided to just blog stalk and play logic games instead. Do you like long, pointless posts? I usually don't but I am bored and so here you go. I'm never really sure how to end posts like this so I guess; THE END.

at least its a post

You may not think its a long time to go without posting
but I am feeling slightly post empty lately
I hate when I fall down the blog lists
because people have posted more recently than I have

My summer days are enjoyable
and I don't want school to start
no matter how cliche.

From 9-10 this morning;
from the time I decided to turn off my alarm clock
and just sleep in
to the time I suddenly realized that all I had to do was wake up,
I had a nightmare.

It wasn't especially scary,
it even was very nice in the beginning,
but right now I am pretty sure that the villain of the dream and his mother
would probably be who would pop out of a closet that a boggart was hiding in.

The plus side?
The whole dream took place at 7 peaks
and at one point I was spiderman
and also at another I was Charming from Once Upon A Time.
but the fact that someone was trying to kill me
kinda put a damper on things.

I always like to be a winner...

If you are a hater and don't like long posts about much to personal things about people's life then why are you still reading this blog? because I like them, and since I was tagged by the ever awesome Carrie with this award I thought I would use it as an excuse to tell about myself. Also I liked her questions.
