Graduation Day

Big News! Today I graduate high school. It's a little weird that they would let a girl with the maturity of a 10-year old graduate high school... but I'm not complaining!

I'm not as young as I was, I'm not as brave as I thought

Hello there blogosphere! Currently I am writing to you as a woman who has 1 more day (1!) of high school left forever. Isn't that crazy? Tomorrow is my last day of school! I guess life is getting on pretty fast! I'm not sure exactly what to write about finishing high school, so I will let you in on my moving on to bigger and better things playlist:

1. Be Gentle with me: The Boy Least Likely to
2. Tell the World: Eric Hutchinson
3. I will survive: Gloria Gaynor
4. Good to be Alive: Regan Rindlishbacher
5. Hello Goodbye: The Beatles
6. Afterlife: Ingrid Michealson
7. Borders: Feeder
8. The Brightest Lights: King Charles feat. Mumford and Sons
9. Movie Loves a screen: April Smith and the Great Picture Show
10. No Matter Where you are: Us the duo
11. Lifting the Sea: The Hunts
12. Light outside: Wakey!Wakey!
13. A Wink and a Smile: Harry Connick Jr.
14. You're only Human: Billy Joel
15. Bet on It: Zac Effron

I'm kinda a fan of it. If I had more space on my cd's I would probably add, like, all the other High School Musical songs, but I guess that kinda defeats the purpose of a playlist for the end of high school...

So I guess I should finish this up with some kind of narrative with a good moral that everyone can take into their lives (you can totally tell I've been watching too much girl meets world), so I wanted tell you the most important thing I learned in high school:

"The greatest thing, you'll ever learn is just to love, and be loved in return"
ok, ok, so that's not from me, it's from Moulin Rouge! But it is my plan to write it somewhere in the high school to leave my mark (insert maniacal laugh here).

I guess the most important thing I learned in high school is to be kind, love others, and feast on the knowledge presented to you on a free public school platter. Love to learn, but more importantly, learn to love. Find a place in your heart for Christ-like-love for everyone around you. Don't compete, help each other, but don't stop taking care of yourself to make others happy. Forgive readily, and don't forget that being nice makes you cool. Don't fake who you are to please the people who are acting fake, and always carry emergency lady supplies.

Anyway, adios for now blog, I guess I will let you know how it is to step off into the unknown;

On Senior Year

You can be annoyed that I posted twice this week, but considering I haven't posted in 2 years I think that it's kind of ok. Ok?
So in August I started that wicked thing called Senior year.
It's been... interesting.
There has been lots of homework.
(Homework that I'm avoiding very deftly right now)
And planning things for Student Council
Lots and lots and lots of planning
And hope squad things
People being referred,
Hope week planned.
There has been a lot of stress.
And emotions.
And sometimes cops calling my parents in the middle of the night.
There's been lots of sluffing school,
And going to the temple instead.
And my curfew has been reduced from 12 to 8.
Lots of work off has been asked for.
Lots of dizzyingly beautiful days have made it worth it. I'm determined that this year will be the best yet. Even if it is crazy, busy, stressful. It'll be lovely. Whatever.

Lets pretend that never happened.

Sorry that I just kind of dropped off the planet. Lets pretened that never happened.
Now that I'm back, from outer space, lets get down to business.

I promise to try and be a better blogger, even when I think nobody is reading this.
I promise to write dumb things that is of no importance because that is what real life is.
I promise to post pictures as often as I can even if it's not a good picture.
Now please let me make good on my promises and start telling you dumb things that, in all honesty, are my life:

For your enjoyment here are some random insults that I take pride in coming up with while around people that drive me crazy:
"It's boys like you that make me understand why some girls choose to be nuns."
"I can think of 100 fictional characters that are more real than you."
"I'd rather kiss a dementor than you. Just so you know."

I like posts with no real purpose or structure so how about I catch you up on my life lately:

The week after Christmas: I realized that I'm an introvert because books and movies are more interesting than some of my friends. I also became addicted to a TV show called "Sherlock" and I am currently counting down the days until the new season comes out.

The week after the week after Christmas: I went to the lamest New Years Eve dance ever, then I stayed up until 4:00 in the morning watching Here Comes the Boom and talking about chicken wings with the coolest people in the entire world. I ate a cupcake, saw The Book Theif, and took some pictures which was awesome. Here's one of them, the rest are here

The week after the week after the week after Christmas (last week):
My cat judged me hard for watching the bachelor with my brother and yelling things like "I love you Juan Paublo!" I made a playlist with songs about being in a good mood and am currently listening to it like a boss. I said "whatever" way too many times, and was far too weary of people to try to make a conversation.

Well now, I guess that gets you all caught up with what I've been doing lately. Also, an award goes to whoever can name how many times I quoted song lyrics in this post.

Who says we have to let it go?

A few secrets I think should be made know:

The first day of high school, you're going to step into the school and think to yourself, "This is nothing like High School Musical."

High School does not last for your entire life. It may seem that way, but don't worry, it's actually only three years. What?

If you do your hair in the morning, I promise you're day will be better. I don't know why it works, it doesn't even need to look good, it will just make it better.

Sometimes, the books that you need to read for school are actually really good books with interesting morals, so don't let the analyzing ruin your perspective.

The teacher that work at the school aren't actually prison wardens or devil worshipers, they're nice people who want you to learn if you just give them a chance.

Even if you feel a little overwhelmed by high school and all that it implies, there should always, always be time in your life for breakfast. Just saying.

Sleep is priceless and I promise you it's ok to choose sleeping over a social activity. Your friends will understand, and if they don't, then their priorities are completely screwed up and you probably don't mean that much to them anyway.

Classical music is not actually a sin and if you stopped to give it a chance by listening to it while you do your homework, you might find it's actually very nice.

It's not worth it to settle for a grade. No teacher is going to beat you for expecting more out of yourself. I promise that if you ask, you might just find a way to make things better.

If important things in your life like school, or religious beliefs are falling by the wayside in your schedule then maybe something you're doing is really not that important and should be dropped out of your life.

You don't have to be anyone but yourself. You don't have to follow any rules about who you are. You don't have to be your mother, or your father, or your sister. You don't have to be a certain type of person. It's never to late to change who you are if you're not who you want to be.

Anyway, I hope you didn't mind that this post didn't have any pictures and also is very rambled and really has no meaning. I was told to "write while the fire was in me" and apparently watching High School Musical lights a fire.

More awkwardness and some screen shots

Lets just say there have been a lot of these things lately:

I still don't know if I am going to pass this test.
Also, for your enjoyment, and because I am sick of looking up states and capitals tests online,
Here are some awkward happenings of late:

I've become a marriage counselor. It's fine.
My parents know more about my life than I do.

A kid stole a note out of my pocket and he may or may not have been in it.
Now I know why ladies used to wear nothing but skirts and dresses.
Can you say Awkward?

I wear an unusual amount of polka-dots to YW in excellence.
Basically my reasoning is this;
I want to wear this skirt.
I also want to wear these tights.
They don't match.
Wear them anyways.

I got myself some "swag" in the assembly today from the star of the show
American Ride.
Buffs that say BYUtv on them are pretty cool.

People look at you funny when you hide in the Relief Society room
drawing a map of the United States on the bored.
I do whatever I can to study.
Speaking of which;
I have found the best way for me to study.
I quiz someone else who knows nothing about the subject
then while they try and figure out the answer I scream it at them.
It's quite effective.

Well here's to awkwardness kids.
I have a new definition of Awkwardness are you ready?

Posts are pointless without pictures.

So how about this one:

This year is a game changer.
Lets review 1st term:
Not trying to brag or anything, but
my highest score was an 102
it was in biology.
Biology is not my strong suit.
I've never worked so hard in one class.
Have you ever tried working hard?
It's a pretty cool thing.
Miss Parson was why I decided to like school again.
Well, at least to stop complaining about it.
I was pretty defenseless against her Oprah videos.
Have you ever tried being grateful?
It's a pretty cool thing.
Mrs. Lund was the reason I decided that doing my best
Is better than being the best.
English Honors was a good idea.
Have you ever tried doing your best?
It's a pretty cool thing.
One last thing.
I'm not perfect.
I can't talk to boys,
I get jealous,
I can't really sing
or dance.
and I don't play the piano in seminary.
But I decided something.
I've got time.
I will grow as fast as I want to.
And it will be great.
Have you ever tried being great?
It's a pretty cool thing.

wake me up, when september ends

I don't like posts without pictures.
I have not been in the mood to take pictures lately.
Hence I have not posted in 140 years.
All I do is come home, eat cake, and do homework.
Dad brought European candy from work.
My favorite was the rum flavored ones.
Sue me, I like the flavor of rum.
They're gone now.
I am an extra credit machine.
I am actually proud of my grades this year,
because I actually had to work for them.
 Books rock,
I read them like a man watches football;
all the time.
I like it when I go to World Geography
and my teacher is singing Bon Jovi.
It's October babies.
It is my wake up call.

This is as good as it's gunna get.

On her weekends off, my mom goes and runs half marathons.
I can barely ride my bike to the library.
Its fine.

In Biology Mr. Whitaker plays the beatles while we draw.
Shame there were none of my favorites.
I guess beggars can't be choosers.

My days go like this,
school, homework, dinner, shower, scriptures, bed
then it repeats.

I decided that they should replace all math with deductive reasoning
and all school with seminary.
That would be ideal.

My letters take a long time to get to Cammie.
And then the mail people send them back because I didn't put enough stamps.
They also broke my time turner.
Rude.

9:00 church, babies.
My sunday school class had better prepare for low tolerance
and a grumpy girl.
And by my sunday school class I mean Jaron.

I guess this is a good enough to pass as a post
and I won't feel guilty about my writers block for at least another 3 days.
Cheers children.

as it was made to be

It is the first day of school.
I'm pretty sure that today was not real
it was just us playing pretend.
but no,
it was real
school is here
and yesterday I made those glasses.
I wanted to wear them for the first day of school.

school spirit

I have a lot on my mind but I am not in the mood to make a post for each thought, So here you have some random thoughts that are in my head. If you are a hater of such posts, then get over it.

Today my mom made butter beer. It was heavenly.
She got a little heavy-handed with the rum extract,
I secretly like the taste of rum.
Don't judge.

Cammie gave me a car freshener for my locker.
It is the flavor of peachy peach.
it's the only thing I am excited about for school.

I had a hard time sleeping the last two nights.
for some reason, when I don't sleep I have a need to blog about it.
sometimes I just can't get my brain to shut up.

H2O is my new favorite TV show
something about australian girls turning into mermaids
well obviously that is going to be the best.

School starts in a week.
just a news flash.
The end.
