At times I run from growing up

I got to tell you the truth.
I am possessive over photos.
Green is probably my favorite color.
I am going to wear heels forever now.
I sometimes really want to paint.
I enjoy watching Iron Chef America.
I skip to the ones with Micheal Symon.
My teachers from last year changed my life.
I am a huge nerd.
I forget about buying birthday presents.
I hide Cadbury Eggs from the rest of my family.
I enjoy red nail polish.
I sometimes prefer my sisters to my friends.
In my soul I am a hippie.
I hate missing Seminary.
On Easter I stuff my face with candy.
I hoard the rolls my grandma gives me.
I find posts like this fun to write.
It's easier to explain things in lists.
I didn't really like The Fault In Our Stars.
I sort of hate social media.
Sometimes I am rather narcissistic.
I really like big words.
At times I run from growing up.
I got to tell you the truth.

Because He lives

Hey there reader.
Happy Easter.
Easter is one of my favorite holidays.
I love celebrating Christ's resurrection and Atonement.
Because He lives I can do so much.
Because He lives I can wear my Roatan hat everyday.
Because He lives I can go out for pizza at lunch.
Because He lives I can drive next to my friends as they walk home.
Because He lives I can take pictures with my best friend.
Because He lives I can drive to Provo and see my sister.
Because He lives I can do basically all the things that make me happy.
Because He lives I have the agency to do these things.
Because He lives I can be with these people now and for eternity.

I Don't Want to make it Stop.

Reasons I am actually six years old:
I eat all the girl scout cookies.
I go on bike rides.
I make paintings.
I watch Hannah Montanna.
I make homemade pretzels.
I Listen to The Teen Beach Movie soundtrack.
I read books about Captain Hook.
I paint faces.
Truth is I am a child.
Officially not ashamed.

March to the beat of your own drum

In my opinion:
Making art is therapeutic.
Spring is the best of the seasons.
Ponytails are not worth it.
Awkwardness is a flavor of adrenaline.
Third term is the worst.
March should be followed by May not April.
It's impossible to like something someone who bugs you likes.
Finding new bands should not be a competition.
Elvis should still be around.
Socks should match shirts.
Posts should be short.
Ice cream should be eaten for breakfast.
Little sisters are the worst secret keepers.
I am most certainly a pyromaniac.

Just February.

Honesty: February stressed me out and I'm glad it's over. I often found myself trying to blog but only having one small thing to say, so I decided to write the things down as I thought them and so here they are. None connect with each other, but here's an idea what it's like to know what I'm thinking:

Working out my nose just in case, by chance,  I ever get turned into a bunny rabbit.

I'm just so sick of all these nice guys. I want a guy who really knows how to hate. "That's ridiculous" you say? Let me ask you this: If a man doesn't know how to hate, can he fully know how to love?

I don't want to clean my room because I might clean up the memories of you.

My friend called his mom while he was driving to Wendy's the other day. This is what he said; "Mom, I just got mad at the windshield wipers and I hit them and I broke the windshield." My friends is the Hulk.

Taylor Swift was asked to follow Michael Jackson on my radio today. It was a sad day for Taylor Swift.

For English we have to present a topic of our choice. My friend, to start his presentation on the American-Canadian relationship, ripped off his pants revealing the American flag shorts underneath.

I think Harry Potter metaphors are the best. Like if you are facing something you fear, you can always just defeat it by finding it funny.

Well there you have it. An idea of what it's like in my head. I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope your February doesn't ruin your March.

February 18th

Fifteen things I learned from being fifteen:

1. If you would rather not be around someone, then don't be around them.

2. Never loose your identity because you're trying to be someone else.

3. If you let Him, God will take your burdens and make them light.

4. There is nobody that is going to do your work for you. You're challenges were made for you to face them.

5. Sometimes it's ok just to sit down and take in the world as it is.

6. Change is hard. But so worth it.

7. Driving is better with good music playing. In fact, everything is better with good music playing.

8. You shouldn't give up on dreams. But you also shouldn't let them become your reality.

9. Every person you meet has something worth while in them. It's just harder to find with some people than others.

10. You cannot have an adventure unless you go out and make an adventure.

11. Sometimes you just need to make a decision and jump.

12. Too much of anything will kill you. Even too much of the good things.

13. You're never too old to climb trees. You're never to little to climb mountains.

14. If things are coming to an end, it's only because other things are coming to a beginning.

15. Life is hard for everyone, but those who do not choose to find joy in the ordinary have it harder than anyone else.
