a post for the patriotic people.

Ok, say what you will. I already can see some people stop reading because they think this post will be boring, or they think that this is one of those blogs where the writer shoves their political views down the readers throats. But let me tell you now, I am a fourteen year old girl. My political view are that politics don't make a lot of sense. I am just here to write a post about the patriotic things we did today. Feel free to stop reading now if that upsets you.
Well, because my school hosts the voters walking around was pretty interesting today. Especially when my Seminary teacher told me to watch out for voting grandpas. Lets just say, a few drivers nearly ran me over on the way back to school a few times. Next up came Choir where we practiced the national anthem a few times, also, we said the pledge of allegiance to a guys shirt because the choir room doesn't have a flag of it's own. Then I went over to the library and voted for a book just so I could get a pin and where it around all day. Once in World Geography my teacher decided it was a good idea to educate us on what form of government our country uses seeing as the past few days we learned about the different forms of government. On the way out she told us that she hoped we could one day say to someone who asks us what government we are, what kind we are. I won't spell it out for you because it is a little complicated, lets just say that our founding fathers knew what they were doing when they put pieces of all the different governments into our system. The only problem? it makes it hard to pin down a specific word to use to describe us. Currently my mom is online watching to see how many electoral and popular votes each candidate has. Every now and then she will shout out a score like a football loving Grandfather during the super bowl. Tomorrow I plan on wearing my heart of America pin.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I know that this is tons more words than I have written in a long time, and way more than I have ever made the effort to read on a blog, I am sorry. I just wanted to mention to you that I love this country. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Thank you to the men and woman who give their lives so that I can be free.
The End.
